The BHS Sobering Center provides a safe, supportive environment for individuals who are publicly intoxicated and need a place to sober up. Rather than being taken to jail or the emergency room, individuals are brought to the Sobering Center where they can safely recover under the supervision of trained staff.
Services at the Sobering Center include monitoring during the sobering process, light meals and hydration, connection to substance use disorder treatment services, referrals to community resources including housing, mental health, and medical care, and engagement with recovery support services.
The Sobering Center serves as a critical entry point to the BHS continuum of care, helping individuals take the first steps toward recovery and long-term wellness.
