Outpatient Treatment
Program Description
BHS offers non-residential (outpatient) treatment at eight locations throughout Los Angeles County. The California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs certify all programs. Services include screening and assessment; drug-free counseling; random drug/alcohol testing; parenting education; domestic violence programs; anger management; and detoxification referrals. Treatment methods involve group counseling, educational services, individual counseling, HIV education, and referrals to other community-based services after discharge.
Services
Adult and adolescent programs, assessments, information and referrals, health awareness and physical exams, family counseling, parenting classes, Proposition 36, DUI and PC 1000 groups, anger management groups, Domestic Violence groups, individual, group and family counseling. Specialized groups for men and women, introduction to 12-step programs, HIV/AIDS and drug education, and drug testing. Accessible to the handicapped, Bilingual (English-Spanish), gay/lesbian sensitive, culturally competent.
