POSITION: Maintenance Supervisor (Full-Time)

LOCATION: American Recovery Center Pomona, CA.

DUTIES: Under the direction of the Administrator, supervises plant operations and maintenance, linen services, transportation and ground care. Responsible for supervision of the maintenance mechanic, transportation, and laundry/linen employees. Develops departmental goals, objectives, standards of performance, and policies and procedures in accordance with all the required guidelines and to ensure compliance with standards that will provide an optimal operations environment. May be responsible for implementing plant operations, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping program to meet licensing and code requirements. Also may be responsible for supervising and implementation of safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS: Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act. High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of institutional maintenance repair work. Must be knowledgeable in all major trade areas and be able to estimate repair costs. Must have at least three (3) years of industrial housekeeping and supervisory experience. Thorough knowledge of cleaning materials, tools, and techniques. Must have the ability to work independently and have good oral and written communication skills. Must have valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on BHS business. Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility. Must be physically able to demonstrate the duties of Housekeeping, Maintenance, and the Courier. Must be able to physically assist in the management of assaultive behavior.
