POSITION: Training and Demonstration Services Staff- Full Time, Non-Exempt

LOCATION: Long Beach Recovery Long Beach, CA

DUTIES: Teaching and Demonstration Services Staff are responsible for teaching and training home based life skills to clients in Family Preservation services. Life skills include but are not limited to home safety, cleaning, budgeting and meal preparation. May also perform duties included in Substitute Adult Role Model and Transportation (SARM).

QUALIFICATIONS: Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act. Bilingual abilities may be required within certain BHS programs. Associate’s Degree in related field desirable. High school diploma or equivalency. related supervised work experience will be considered in lieu of education. Must have valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on BHS business. Must have good driving record. Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff. Recovering individuals must have a minimum two years clean, sober and abstinent to be considered for employment.
