POSITION: Compliance Analyst (Full Time Regular)
LOCATION: BHS Admin. Gardena, CA.
DUTIES: Perform routine and assigned audits, in accordance with agency’s annual internal audit plan. Prepare reports and audit findings. Work collaboratively with Behavioral Health Quality Assurance Coordinator to prepare corrective action plan templates and follow up with programs on their timely completion and submission. In collaboration with Behavioral Health Quality Assurance Coordinator and Client Record Specialist, perform chart review audits of closed Behavioral Health charts prior to archiving. Assist in collection of charts for Utilization Review meetings. Perform subcontractor and consultant compliance reviews as assigned. Collect administrative data in response to requests from funding agencies or external auditors. Maintain organized physical and electronic files and documentation of activities. Attend committee meetings, prepare summaries as assigned. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act. Bilingual abilities may be required within certain BHS programs. A minimum of three (3) years analytical experience in a health care environment, preferable behavioral health. Bachelor’s degree in health or human/social service or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience and proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong display of agency values: Compassion, Dedication, Integrity and Diversity. Must have valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on BHS business. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat and reach for purpose of performing duties such as handling materials stocked on shelves, filing and handling and sorting mail. Routinely lift and move items weighing up to ten pounds; is expected to ask for assistance and use dolly or cart and any heavy items. Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination adequate to answer telephones, use keyboard, write messages. Able to move about the facility and in other off-site locations. Recovering individuals must have a minimum two years clean, sober and abstinent to be considered for employment.
